Ousia sought out JMD to create a complete brand identity for a collection of highly concentrated, ingredient-first skincare. Named from the Greek word for “essence,” the brand reflects a commitment to purity and potency, rooted in founder Tammy Demos’s connection to the native botanicals of her Colorado mountain home.
The visual identity draws from this landscape, reinterpreting the mountains into a fluid, watercolor-inspired motif that moves softly across matte packaging. Muted greens and a heritage-inspired seal- depicting a woman harvesting botanicals- ground the brand in nature, while sustainable materials and refillable systems reinforce a philosophy of thoughtful design. The result is a brand that feels both elemental and elevated, where efficacy and aesthetic exist in quiet harmony.
